Jai OTT Release: When and where will Suniel Shetty's political drama release? After theaters, it will create history on OTT

News Topical, Digital Desk : OTT platforms are now expanding their reach to regional films. The much-hyped Kannada-Tulu film "Jai" is set to have its digital premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5. This release marks a major milestone for the platform, as "Jai" will be the first Tulu film to premiere on ZEE5, with a Kannada version also available.

A story set in coastal Karnataka

He also plays the lead role in the film, directed by Rupesh Shetty. It blends drama, action, comedy, and socio-political commentary into a story firmly rooted in the cultural fabric of coastal Karnataka. The film tells the story of Sachchay, a young man from Simhabettu village, whose growing awareness of community issues propels him from local political involvement to a larger fight for the well-being of his people.

An ensemble cast and Sunil Shetty's Tulu debut

"Jai" features a strong ensemble cast, including Rupesh Shetty, Raj Deepak Shetty, Adviti Shetty, Arvind Bolar, Devdas Kapikad, Naveen P. Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, and many other popular regional actors. The film also marks the debut of Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty in Tulu cinema.

When and where will the film be released?

During its theatrical release, Jai recorded hundreds of screenings in both Kannada and Tulu, generating strong audience engagement. Jai will stream on Zee5 in both Kannada and Tulu starting February 6th.

This film is Sunil Shetty's Tulu debut.

Speaking about his decision to be a part of the film, Suniel Shetty said, "When I said yes to playing Jai, it wasn't about scale or screen time. It was about the film's integrity.
