News Topical, Digital Desk : Israel attacked Iran's nuclear installations in the early hours of Friday. Many top Iranian commanders and 6 nuclear scientists were killed in these attacks. Israel claims that Iran has come very close to making nuclear weapons and hence this attack was necessary.

 

News agency Reuters, citing sources, claimed that Aerospace Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh was also killed in the Israeli attack. Apart from this, IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami also lost his life in the attack.

 

78 people died in Tehran

Iran's news channel is claiming that Israel attacked residential areas of Tehran, killing 78 people and injuring 329. Iran says that it will respond with full force to Israel's cowardly attack.

 

Iranian nuclear scientists Fereydoon Abbasi-Davani and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi were killed in the Israeli attack. Abbasi served as the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran from 2011 to 2013. Tehranchi was the head of Iran's Islamic Azad University.

 

Apart from this, four other scientists Abdolhamid Manouchehr, Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari, Amirhussein Feghi and Motalibizadeh also died. Former IRGC commander Major General Bagheri has also died. He was the Chief of Staff of Iran's armed forces since 2016.
