In this UP district, an 8th-grade student became the DM, listened to public grievances and gave orders to officials.

News Topical, Digital Desk : In Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, Sanjivani, an eighth-grade student at PM Higher Primary School, Sonra, was appointed District Magistrate for a day as part of Mission Shakti Phase 5. The student listened to the problems of approximately 15 complainants.

During this time, the largest number of complainants came to him from various departments, including land, police, and rural development. The one-day DM directed the concerned officials to resolve the problems immediately and appropriately. The complainants included Malti Devi, Gautam Kumar, Yugal Kishore, Bal Govind Chaurasia, Sajra, and others. 

The student gave instructions to take strict action

Sanjeevani has directed the police station in-charge Sadar to take necessary action after talking to him over the phone in the context of a complaint by a complainant about continuous threats from the opposition in an election related dispute.

District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma explained the district magistrate's work and responsibilities to Sakshi. District Basic Education Officer Riddhi Pandey said that under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, Sanjivani, a student of PM Higher Primary School, Sonra, was appointed district magistrate for a day, on the district magistrate's instructions, to boost the morale of girls in the district and to spread awareness about women's safety, respect, and self-reliance. 

Other girl students will also get a chance to become officers

In this series, girl students from council schools will be appointed as one-day Superintendents of Police (SP), Chief Development Officers (CDOs), and other BSAs (BSPs). The District Magistrate wished Sanjivani, the one-day DM, a bright future. He asked Sanjivani about her experiences and said that with continued hard work and dedication, she can fulfill her dreams. 

Sharing her experience, Sanjivani said that becoming a District Magistrate for a day made her realize the breadth of a District Magistrate's responsibilities and how they solve our problems. Sanjivani said she would also work hard and become an IAS officer to serve the country and society. SDM Prem Prakash Pandey and BSA Riddhi Pandey were present on the occasion.
