IMD issues alert for heavy rains in 10 states including UP, MP and Uttarakhand

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in 10 states from today until February 19th. The states where rain is expected include Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Tamil Nadu. Dense to very dense fog is also likely to occur in some parts of Odisha during the morning hours until February 18.

The impact of the western disturbance may be felt in districts of western Uttar Pradesh. Light rain will occur in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh on February 17th and 18th. However, there is no warning of heavy rain for the entire state. On February 17th and 18th, scattered rain/light drizzle is expected in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Shamli, Ghaziabad, and Noida.

How will the weather be in Uttarakhand today?

Rain is expected in Uttarakhand on February 17 and 18. Rain is expected in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand on February 17 and 18. Rain/snow is expected at some places in Uttarakhand on February 18 and 19. Snowfall continues in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand.

Delhi-NCR weather

The temperature in Delhi is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees today, February 17th, leading to a warm afternoon. However, the weather is expected to change over the next 24 hours, bringing light rain to Delhi-NCR. Winds up to 40 kilometers per hour are also expected during this period.

Himachal Weather

Rainfall is also expected in higher elevation areas of Himachal Pradesh on February 17 and 18. Shimla, Mandi, Kangra, Sirmaur, Solan, Una, Hamirpur, and Kullu districts are expected to experience rainfall on February 17 and 18. Isolated rain/snowfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh on February 18 and 19.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of rain in Jammu and Kashmir on February 17. Rain is likely in Srinagar, Jammu, Kulgam, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora and Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan?

The weather in Rajasthan will remain normal until this afternoon. Clouds will appear from this afternoon, after which some places may experience drizzle. Strong winds will also blow during this time. Rain is expected in Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, and Churu in Rajasthan on February 17th and 18th.

Rain alert in Madhya Pradesh

Regarding the weather in Madhya Pradesh, thunderstorms are expected on February 18th and 19th. Rain is expected in Seoni, Katni, Chhindwara, Balaghat, and Hoshangabad districts. However, the weather will be normal today, February 17th.

Bihar Weather

The weather in Bihar will remain normal for the time being, with no rain expected. However, moderate fog and cold may be observed in the Mithila and Seemanchal districts.
