News Topical, Digital Desk : Usually you go to a hotel or restaurant to eat and see that the cleanliness there is not good, and sometimes the food is also bad. Then you decide to complain. Then you think where to complain? So now you don't need to worry. Because now it is going to be easy to complain about a hotel or restaurant.
In fact, the country's Food Safety Authority (FSSAI) has instructed all food business operators such as restaurants, dhabas, cafes and food shops to display their FSSAI license or registration certificate at a place visible to customers.
Instructions to install QR code of mobile app also
FSSAI has also instructed all shops and hotels to put up the QR code of the 'Food Safety Connect' mobile app. The authority has said that the QR code of the mobile app should be put up at the entry gate, billing counter or seating areas, so that customers can see it easily.
Steps taken to empower customers
FSSAI says that this step has been taken to empower the customers and ensure the quality and hygiene of food. Through this, customers will be able to complain about bad food, dirt and products with misleading claims directly through the mobile app.
Also necessary for online food delivery platforms
The authority said that this instruction is as per the license condition number-1 under the License and Registration of Food Business (FSS) rules of 2011. It will be necessary to put this QR code or download link of the app on online food delivery platforms and restaurant websites as well.
This means that now customers will not only be able to complain but will also be able to know whether the concerned shop or hotel is licensed by FSSAI or not.
