According to police, one person died and another was injured in a paragliding accident at the Billing take-off site under the jurisdiction of the Beed police station in Kangra district on December 26. Kangra district Superintendent of Police Ashok Ratan said the accident involved alleged negligence on the part of Mohan Singh, a resident of Lachhayan village under the Bardhan post office in the Padhar tehsil of Mandi district. The paraglider crashed shortly after taking off from Bir Billing.
In this incident, tourist Parth Dave, a resident of Kolkata, West Bengal, was injured. Police are attempting to interrogate the injured youth. Further details about the accident will emerge once he recovers. This accident is raising many serious questions, and there are also concerns about the safety of tourists.
The injured was admitted to the hospital
The injured were taken to Vivekanand Hospital in Palampur for treatment. However, the paraglider pilot, Mohan Singh, succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Beed police station and have begun further investigation.
