News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: Hazrat Gupti Shaheed Shah R.U. Seva Samiti Dargah located in Dharmapurwa of Nawabganj police station area of Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh has been a den of superstition for the last seven years. Here, claims are made to cure serious diseases in the name of exorcism, but this superstition took the life of 18-year-old teenager Kavita. Kavita's death has exposed the truth of the dargah, where people are being duped in the name of exorcism by the committee president Ekhlakh Ahmed, Raju and another person.

The committee members of the dargah claim to cure problems ranging from fever, cancer, stomach ache, chest pain, headache to child birth. According to the local people, depending on the financial condition of the patients coming here, amulets ranging from Rs 50
to Rs 1000 are sold. These amulets allegedly promise to eradicate diseases completely, but in reality it is just a means of fraud.

Kavita's tragic death
17-year-old Kavita was suffering from high fever. Despite treatment for several days, when her fever did not subside, the family turned to the dargah. According to the family, Kavita was kept at the dargah for three days for exorcism, but her condition kept deteriorating. And she died there. After Kavita's death, there was a commotion and the dargah's managers fled, and the police have taken Kavita's body into custody and started investigation.

Police action and local reaction
After Kavita's death, there is anger among the local people. Additional Superintendent of Police (Western) Radheshyam Rai said that after registering a case, the search for the operators of the dargah has been started. And strict action will be taken against whoever is accused.

Due to lack of education,
in areas like Gonda, where medical facilities are limited, people rely on easy recourses like sorcery and amulets, which often costs them their lives.
