News Topical, Digital Desk : Due to rain in the hilly areas, the water level of Ganga is increasing rapidly, in Ghazipur, the Ganga river has crossed the danger mark at a speed of 3-4 centimeters per hour. Many villages including Nakdilpur, Hasanpur, Birupur, Karhiya of Sevrai tehsil, which is situated in the coastal areas of Ganga, have been completely surrounded by flood water.

Now the only option left to travel to these villages is boat. With the help of this boat, people are now seen returning to their homes after shopping for their daily needs from the market or completing their daily chores. People living in the village are saying that the vegetables planted in their fields have been completely destroyed.

Flood increased the problems of the innocent

Animal husbandry is the main source of income for the farmers in this area, but after the flood water reached the village, the cattle are also facing a lot of problems. Villagers say that due to the rising water, it has become their compulsion to keep the cattle on the roof.

Ganga water level is rising rapidly

The rising water level of Ganga has completely affected Sadar Zamania, Sevrai, Mohammadabad, Saidpur tehsil of Ghazipur. Ganga has crossed the danger mark of 63.105 m and has reached the current level of 63.650 m. Ganga is rising at the rate of 3 cm per hour. Now the district administration has also become alert.

DM-SDM took stock of the situation

The District Officer and all the SDMs along with the Additional District Magistrate are now keeping an eye on the flood situation in their respective areas. They are also touring the areas. The Additional District Magistrate today reached those villages of Karanda block, where the water of the Ganges has now reached the mouth of the village. The officials have alerted the villagers.
