Recently, nutritionist Shweta Shah shared a post on her social media, in which she told about some easy home remedies for some common health problems. Let's know about those problems and home remedies for their treatment- 

 

Weak immunity or frequent colds

These days weak immunity has become a common problem. Due to this people often fall prey to cold and cough. Also they become sensitive to other types of infections. In such a situation, the doctor says that basil-black pepper decoction and carrot-beetroot juice will prove beneficial to strengthen the immune system and get relief from cold and cough. 

  • Basil-pepper decoction

Mix 5 basil leaves, 2 crushed black peppers and 1 clove and boil them in a cup of water until the water reduces to half. Then drink it like hot tea. 

  • Carrot-beetroot juice

To make this, mix a few mint leaves in a carrot and half a beetroot. Then add lemon juice to it and mix it well and drink it all. 

anulom vilom

Apart from this, do Anulom Vilom for 5-7 minutes daily to strengthen the lungs and balance the doshas.
 

Diabetes

Diabetes has become a common problem these days. Many people are suffering from this incurable disease. In such a situation, the doctor should suggest some easy remedies to manage it. For this, fenugreek-neem decoction and bitter gourd-jamun juice will prove effective. 

Fenugreek-Neem decoction

Boil 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds and 5 neem leaves in 1.5 cups of water. Now boil this water till its quantity becomes 1 cup. Drink this decoction hot in sips before eating.

Bitter gourd-jamun juice

To make this, mix 2 bitter gourds and 2 tablespoons of jamun juice together. Then filter it and drink it on an empty stomach.

  • Surya Namaskar

Surya Namaskar also proves to be very helpful in controlling diabetes. Do Surya Namaskar 5-7 times daily to improve insulin sensitivity and metabolism.

High Cholesterol

Wrong eating habits and many other reasons are becoming the cause of high cholesterol these days . This is a serious problem, which can also cause heart attack after a long time. In such a situation, to control it, the doctor said that Arjun bark-cinnamon tea and garlic-lemon shot will prove to be very beneficial. 

  • Arjun-Cinnamon Tea

Boil 1 teaspoon Arjun bark and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in 1.5 cups of water. Boil it to one cup and then drink it hot.

  • Garlic-Lemon Shot

Mix one teaspoon of garlic juice and one teaspoon of lemon juice in warm water. Take this prepared drink in the morning.

  • Exercise/Breathing

To control rising cholesterol, doing Bhramari Pranayama and walking for 20 minutes every day will be effective.

Fatty Liver

This is a rapidly growing problem these days, which is troubling many people. If it is not controlled in time, it can lead to liver failure. In such a situation, the doctor said that cumin-turmeric-lemon decoction and amla-aloe vera juice will be effective in solving this problem. 

  • Cumin-turmeric-lemon decoction

First, boil a teaspoon of cumin seeds and then add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric and let it cool down a bit. After this, squeeze 1/2 lemon in it and drink it hot on an empty stomach.

  • Amla-Aloe Vera Juice

To make this, mix 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel and 2 teaspoons of amla juice in 1/2 cup of water. Then drink it before breakfast.

  • cranial occlusion

To get rid of the problem of fatty liver, do Kapalabhati for 3-5 minutes in the morning. This activates the metabolism and improves the functioning of the liver.
