News Topical, Digital Desk : The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the financial transactions of all madrasas in the state. The primary objective of the investigation is to identify the sources of foreign funding received by madrasas. This action will not be limited to the institutions themselves; the personal bank accounts of madrasa operators will also be reviewed. Under government direction, relevant agencies will scrutinize the financial records of madrasas and their operators to uncover any suspicious transactions or illegal funding.
On this issue, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, said that the Uttar Pradesh government is continuously ordering investigations into madrasas. It is unclear what the government intends to find inside the madrasas or what new findings it intends to uncover. However, there is no objection to the government order; four investigations have already been conducted, and the madrasas are ready for a fifth investigation.
Also, reacting to the matter, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj said, "The Uttar Pradesh government must have received some complaints; nothing happens without reason. Based on that, a report has been requested, which I consider necessary. I commend the Yogi government for its action on this matter."
Regarding the investigation into the financial transactions of madrasas, the government says that this action is being taken to ensure transparency, stop illegal sources of funding, and maintain credibility in the public financial system. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued orders to investigate everything from where the madrasas are receiving money, where the funding is coming from, who built the buildings, and how. If any irregularities are found, action will be taken against those madrasas.
