News Topical, Digital Desk : The figures of buying and selling of FII (FII / FPI) and DII (DII) have come out in the Indian stock market on 8 May 2025. Today, while foreign investors (FII) made strong purchases in the market, domestic institutional investors (DII) were seen selling.

According to the data, FIIs bought a total of ₹ 22,365.53 crore, while selling ₹ 20,357.57 crore. Thus, the net purchase of FIIs was ₹ 2,007.96 crore, which showed a strong participation of foreign investors in the market.

On the other hand, DIIs bought ₹ 12,682.67 crore, but sold ₹ 13,278.92 crore. As a result, the net selling of DIIs was ₹ 596.25 crore. Explosive buying continues in May Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have made tremendous purchases in the Indian stock market so far in May 2025. As of May 8, 2025, FIIs bought a total of ₹79,704.67 crore and sold ₹68,048.73 crore, registering a net purchase of ₹11,655.94 crore. On May 8 alone, FIIs bought ₹22,365.53 crore and sold ₹20,357.57 crore, making a net investment of ₹2,007.96 crore. Prior to this, a net investment of ₹2,585.86 crore was made on May 7, ₹3,794.52 crore on May 6 and ₹2,769.81 crore on May 2. These figures reflect the confidence of foreign investors in the Indian market.

As of May 8, 2025, FIIs bought a total of ₹79,704.67 crore and sold ₹68,048.73 crore, registering a net purchase of ₹11,655.94 crore. On May 8 alone, FIIs bought ₹22,365.53 crore and sold ₹20,357.57 crore, making a net investment of ₹2,007.96 crore. Earlier, a net investment of ₹2,585.86 crore was made on May 7, ₹3,794.52 crore on May 6 and ₹2,769.81 crore on May 2. These figures reflect the confidence of foreign investors in the Indian market. 

Data from the past months From the beginning of the financial year 2024-25, the attitude of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) is once again seen to be positive in the Indian stock market. In April 2025, FIIs made a net purchase of ₹ 2,735.02 crore, while in March 2025 this figure was ₹ 2,014.18 crore. However, the environment before February 2025 was opposite. FIIs made heavy net sales of ₹ 58,988.08 crore in February, ₹ 87,374.66 crore in January and ₹ 16,982.48 crore in December 2024. Heavy selling was also seen in November and October 2024, where withdrawals of ₹ 45,974.12 crore and ₹ 1,14,445.89 crore were recorded respectively.
