News Topical, Digital Desk : The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a man under suspicious circumstances at the India-Pakistan border in Fazilka. Upon investigation, it was determined that the man had been missing for the past two years and was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. The BSF released him to his family. Initial investigations revealed that the man was mentally unstable and had accidentally entered the border area.
BSF officials contacted his family in Uttar Pradesh, after which family members went to the Fazilka Sadar police station. His son, who came to pick him up, said that he had even posted missing posters across the state. But as time passed, he had lost hope that he would ever find his father. Today, the BSF reunited him with his father.
Relief and identification of the family
The missing man was identified as Amar Yadav, a resident of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. His son, Vishal Yadav, said his father left home two years ago on Dhanteras, saying he was going to the market, but never returned. The family searched for him throughout Uttar Pradesh and put up missing posters, but eventually gave up hope.
Vishal said that after two years, he received a call from Fazilka. BSF officers showed his father's face over a video call, which Vishal immediately recognized. Seeing his father, Vishal was overjoyed and brought tears to his eyes. He arrived in Fazilka with his uncle and other family members. The family expressed their gratitude to the BSF and police.
Role of BSF and the reason behind the case
Vishal's cousin, Adarsh Yadav, said that Amar Yadav previously worked as a loom operator in Mumbai. After returning home, someone encroached on approximately one acre of his land, causing him to go into shock and lose his mental balance. This led to his disappearance two years ago. Police officer Ram Prakash said that the BSF apprehended the man and handed him over to them. Investigations revealed that he was mentally unstable. He was subsequently released to his family.
The G Branch of the 19th Battalion of the BSF played a crucial role in this case. Based on their investigation, the G Branch located the man's home and contacted his family. Thanks to the BSF's efforts, a son was reunited with his father. The family expressed their gratitude to the BSF and said they will never forget this kindness.
