News Topical, Digital Desk : Inspector Suresh Chahar of the Mohammadabad police station in Farrukhabad has been implicated in a cash and online bribery case. An investigation has found the allegations to be true. The Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) investigated the village head's complaint, confirming the allegations. A case has been registered against Inspector Suresh Chahar under the Corruption Act, and the accused has been arrested and further action is underway. Police station in-charge Vinod Kumar Shukla is also facing the threat of action.
According to reports, a woman village head in the Kotwali Mohammadabad police station area has made serious allegations against a police officer for taking money in the name of legal action. The Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) has found the allegations to be true, following which a case has been registered against the area in-charge, Suresh Kar.

Geeta Devi, a resident of Nisai village, stated in a petition to Kanpur Range ADG Alok Singh that she had previously complained to the district administration and relevant officials about the illegal occupation of village community land. Following an investigation, instructions were issued for action.
The victim had accused the inspector of demanding bribe.
The victim alleges that despite this, she did not receive the legal assistance she needed at the police station. A "facilitation fee" was allegedly demanded for the proceedings. The complaint states that approximately 2.50 lakh rupees were taken from her in this name, some in cash and some in a bank account. Relevant documents have also been attached to the application.
Investigation confirms allegations
According to reports, the village head's husband, Geeta Devi, also alleged that the concerned officials were abusing their positions to benefit their opponents. Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar investigated the complaint. He confirmed that the corruption allegations against the area in-charge, Suresh Chahar, were found to be true.
Case registered against the accused inspector
According to Additional SP Arun Kumar, after the allegations were confirmed, a case has been registered against the area in-charge Suresh Chahar under relevant sections. Further legal action is underway in the matter. Following SP Aarti Singh's firm stance, the accused inspector has been arrested and further action is being taken.
