 
                                                
                                                News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid the Bihar election frenzy, a body was recovered from a field in Siwan district on Thursday morning (October 30). The incident occurred in Sirsa Navka Tola, under the Daraunda police station area, on the Daraunda-Maharajganj main road. The body appeared to have been brutally murdered by unknown criminals with a sharp-edged weapon and dumped in a field along the roadside.
He was posted as ASI in Darauda police station of Siwan district.
When locals saw the body in the field, they informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and, upon identifying the body, it turned out to be that of a police officer. The deceased was identified as 46-year-old Anirudh Kumar Paswan, alias Anirudh Bihari, alias Vijay, the younger son of retired teacher Anant Paswan, a resident of Jathi Kunwar in the Rajnagar police station area of Madhubani. He was posted as an ASI at the Darauda police station in Siwan district. The family learned of the incident through social media and news channels, and has been inconsolable.
Anirudh had no enmity with anyone – Uncle
Ram Vilas Paswan, uncle of deceased Anirudh Kumar Paswan, said that the police or administration did not inform him of the incident. This morning, he received a call from his son in Bangalore informing him of Anirudh Kumar Paswan's death. After this, everyone in the village was informed. Regarding the incident, Anirudh's uncle stated that Anirudh had no enmity with anyone, nor did he have any rivalry with anyone at his place of duty. He has no information about who committed this crime or why.

Meanwhile, his father, Anant Paswan, weeping in grief over the death of his son, Aniruddh Kumar Paswan, said that Aniruddh had arrived on the 27th at around 10:30 a.m. on the evening of the Arghya. Just a few hours after his arrival, despite being told not to, he left with his two children and wife at 1 a.m. on Kharna, after the Chhath festival at his brother-in-law Rajendra Paswan's house, to celebrate Chhath with his two children: his eldest daughter, Anu Kumari, age 14, and his younger son, Asu Kumar, age 8. From there, he left his wife and child and left for Siwan Darauda. "We haven't seen his face since. It feels like we slit someone's throat in our previous life; God has slit my son's throat in return," he said.
In response to the question of who killed him, the father said, "My son had no enmity with anyone, I do not know who killed him and why. I will not implicate anyone by taking anyone's name."
Anirudh was an excellent state level footballer
Madhubani District Football Association Secretary Sunil Kumar, Joint Secretary Shambhu Panjiar, and Treasurer Sanjeev Kumar Yadav jointly stated that Anirudh Kumar Paswan, also known as Vijay, was a prominent state-level footballer of his time. He played for the district for many years and received numerous certificates and medals in football.
Joined the police in 2007 – father
Anirudh's father said, "He was the younger of my two sons. He joined the police service in 2007. After Jamui, he was posted in Jamui before Siwan. The elder son, Ashwani Bihari, is a lawyer and they both have a sister. Anirudh lived in Siwan with his son, daughter, and wife."
Following the incident, all the villagers of Madhubani and sports fans in the district are mourning. A mournful silence has descended on the family's home and the village. The family members say they have no information about the cause, manner, or who committed the murder. Locals say that the murder during an election raises many questions.
