News Topical, Digital Desk : Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said that the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has agreed to provide two tickets to each MLA for the IPL match to be held on March 28 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

However, BJP state president BY Vijayendra has personally opposed this and said that elected representatives should not demand special facilities.

The issue was raised in the Assembly

On Thursday, legislators from all parties raised the issue of unfair ticket and stadium seating arrangements for them in the Assembly. Speaker U.T. Khader also asked the government to provide four tickets for each MLA during the matches.

Agreement reached on two tickets

Following this, on Friday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar met with KSCA officials, led by President Venkatesh Prasad. Shivakumar later told reporters that they had previously agreed to offer two tickets, down from one previously.
