News Topical, Digital Desk : Vyjayanthi Makers, the makers of Prabhas's film Kalki 2898AD, disappointed everyone with a decision they made early this morning. The makers shared a post on their Instagram account, announcing that Deepika Padukone will not be a part of Kalki 2. A key character from the first installment will no longer be seen in the second.

The makers made the official announcement

He wrote, “Production house Vyjayanthi Movies announces that Deepika Padukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel to #Kalki2898AD. After careful deliberation, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to partner. A film like Kalki2898AD deserves that kind of commitment and much more. We wish her all the best for her future endeavors.”

Before this, Deepika was out of another project.

This is the second project Deepika has lost this year. Previously, Tripti Dimri replaced her in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Spirit" opposite Prabhas. While the reason for Deepika's exit from the sequel to "Kalki 2898 AD" hasn't been officially revealed, HT City reports that financial negotiations with the producers of "Kalki" fell through, forcing Deepika's team to allocate her dates for the film to Atlee's next.

Ramesh Taurani has also complained earlier.

Now, amid this controversy, an old interview by another filmmaker has resurfaced in which he called Deepika unprofessional. In 2012, Deepika Padukone was in the news after leaving Abbas-Mustan's film Race 2, which also starred Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Producer Ramesh Taurani was furious when the actress's manager informed him of this decision after completing six days of shooting. An angry Ramesh filed a complaint against her with AMPTPP and CINTAA. Deepika did return, but with conditions.
