' IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack ' is accused of hiding the truth. Meanwhile, the Indian Express report mentions the eyewitness accounts of the survivors of that incident. The report states that the terrorists hid their real names and talked to each other using code names. The name shown in the series is taken from this.

In an interview given to Rediff in 2020, a man named Kolattu Ravivakumar told the story of the hijacking of the I 814 plane. The report said that the two hijackers at that time were named Bhola and Shankar. Ravikumar has been a merchant navy captain in a US company. He told that when the hijackers got up from their seats and said that the flight was now under their control, the passengers thought that a mock drill was being conducted.

These were the names of all the hijackers

Ravikumar said that he had heard the code names of all the terrorists. They had a leader whose code name was Burger and he used to shout often. Apart from him, the code names of the other terrorists were Bhola, Shankar and Doctor.

The best hijacker was the doctor

Survivor Ravikumar said that Bhola was often angry. Shankar was like a well-built commando. The terrorist with the code name Doctor was the best among all the hijackers. Bhola and Burger often shared updates of the negotiations with their other comrades. Bhola would frequently come and go to the cockpit and keep cursing the government. He would say that he would kill all of us.

Hazkaar had apologized

On December 30, Bhola himself announced that the deal has been done and everyone will be released. Not only this, he also apologized that what he did with the passengers was not in his control. He also apologizes to everyone for this.
