Recently, the actor was seen in the film Stree 2 with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The actor played the role of Jana, a friend of Bittu (Aparshakti) and Vicky (Rajkumar Rao) in the film.

His role in the film is being praised a lot. Now recently the actor revealed in an interview that he had paid PR to praise him in the film. In an interview given to Idiva, Abhishek Banerjee told that he paid PR so that they write and circulate good articles about him so that he can be praised. However, he also told that due to good acting he was praised in a very natural and organic way.

People need an excuse to talk negatively

While talking about this, he also talked about the shortcomings of PR. Abhishek said that the problem with him is that even if any organic news of PR comes, people still think that it is PR. Someone writes something good about you and you feel that wow, this has come organically. But still people will think that oh he has done PR. This is its shortcoming. This happened with me as well.

He further said, 'The same thing happened during Paatal Lok and the same thing happened during Stree. I thought I would spend money on PR, do all this. I did a little bit but more PR was done because of the audience. They started sharing photos, videos and memes.'
