On Thursday, the Jalandhar-based ED raided 13 locations in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi in connection with the Donkey Route case. This raid uncovered several important findings and evidence.
The entire network of Donkey Route was traced
During the raid, the ED team recovered several important documents and evidence related to the case, revealing the entire network of the Donkey Route. Approximately ₹4.62 crore in cash, 313 kg of silver, and 6 kg of gold biscuits were recovered from the premises of a travel agent in Delhi.
The total cost is approximately more than Rs 19 crore.
Their total value is estimated at approximately ₹19.13 crore. In addition, chats with other individuals involved in the donkey trade and other incriminating evidence have been recovered. Numerous records and documents related to this illegal trade have been recovered from the residence of a major player in the donkey route in Haryana.
Used to send to America via Mexico
The investigation revealed that he used to keep documents related to people's property as security for their money in exchange for sending them to the United States via Mexico. During the raid, numerous incriminating documents and mobile phones were also seized from the hideouts of other accused.
Action will be taken against all those involved in illegal business
The ED stated that based on this evidence, further action will be taken against the entire Donkey Route network and those involved. They are also searching for other individuals connected to this entire network.
