News Topical, Digital Desk : In Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, on one hand, people are seen wandering in government hospitals for better treatment and medicines, while on the other hand, the city's Mahatma Gandhi Medical College has now made arrangements to deliver cadaver organs, along with essential medicines, blood, biopsy and other life-saving items, to hospitals through drones.

It is being claimed that life-saving drugs and blood were already being transported from one place to another through drones in some states in the country, but the arrangement of transporting cadavers i.e. body parts to hospitals through drones is being made for the first time in the country.

These obstacles will be removed

According to Virendra Pareek, head of the drone team at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, it's crucial to deliver organs obtained after brain death for transplantation within the stipulated timeframe. Drones will eliminate obstacles like traffic and distance. He says that until now, ambulances and green corridors were used to transport organs, but drones will allow organs to be safely transported from one hospital to another in a much shorter time. This will also increase the chances of transplant success.

Will cover a range of 15 km

The medical college administration states that this drone is fully equipped with advanced technology. It has a range of 15 kilometers and is capable of carrying a load of 10 to 15 kilograms. It is equipped with GPS technology and is capable of carrying medicines, blood samples, and organs. Organs can be transported directly from the airport to the hospital's operating theater. Patients will not be charged any additional fee for this service.

Will prove effective in accident cases

Drone technology can also prove extremely effective in accident cases. In serious accidents, where ambulances take time to arrive, drones can quickly deliver life-saving medications to the scene. Temperature-controlled drone boxes will also allow for the rapid delivery of blood, biopsy, and other sensitive samples to testing centers, eliminating delays in treatment.

Successful test conducted in Jaipur

It has been successfully tested in the Pink City of Jaipur and is set to be implemented soon. While advanced drone technology is being tested, no concrete arrangements have yet been made to ensure better and easier access to treatment for people in government hospitals.

Even today, at Jaipur's largest SMS Hospital, some were seen struggling for medicine, others for sample submission. Some struggled for hours, while others were forced to write a prescription for cough medicine. This means that while on the one hand, preparations are underway to make the system high-tech, on the other, the poor patients struggling in government hospitals are facing no concern.
