A major terrorist attack has taken place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists have targeted a group of tourists. So far 26 people have been confirmed dead in this heinous terrorist attack, including two foreigners and one local citizen. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Srinagar. There is a wave of mourning across the country over the attack on tourists. At the same time, eminent leaders of other countries have also expressed deep sorrow over this heinous terrorist attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In his message, President Putin said, “Respected Mrs. President, Respected Mr. Prime Minister, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the tragic consequences of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, whose victims were civilians, including citizens of different countries. There can be no justifiable explanation for this heinous crime. We hope that its organisers and perpetrators should be punished for their actions. I once again reaffirm my commitment to enhance cooperation with India in fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Please convey my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and my wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured.”

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said, “Deep condolences to the people and government of India on the heinous terrorist attack against tourists in Pahalgam. Russia fully stands with India.”

US President Donald Trump said, “Very disturbing news coming from Kashmir. The United States stands firmly with India in its fight against terrorism. We pray for the peace of the souls of those killed and the speedy recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi and the incredible people of India have our full support and deepest sympathies. Our condolences are with all of you!”

US Vice President JD Vance said, “Usha and I offer our condolences to the victims of the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. Over the last few days, we have been overwhelmed by the beauty of this country and its people. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn this horrific attack.”

French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou wrote, “I strongly condemn the brutal attack in Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences are with the victims and their families. France stands in solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism.”
