News Topical, Digital Desk : A major air accident occurred during the Dubai Air Show 2025. A Tejas fighter jet crashed during the air show. Given the nature of the incident, defense expert Captain Anil Gaur (retired) speculated that the accident may have been caused by the pilot losing control.
In fact, on Friday, Captain Gaur said that the exact cause of the crash would only be known after receiving data from the cockpit. Wing Commander Naman Syal tragically died in the accident.
Condolences to the family of the Wing Commander.
Wing Commander Naman Syal died in the plane crash. Expressing condolences to the pilot's family, Captain Gaur said, “It is tragic that our Tejas jet crashed during the Dubai Air Show, and our brave pilot lost his life. Visuals suggest the jet lost control during acrobatics, or the pilot may have blacked out. It should be noted that blackout refers to the maximum force of gravity.”
Captain Gaur said that pilots always wear G-suits to prevent blood from pooling in their legs. He suggested that there might be a problem with them. The exact cause will only be known after receiving cockpit data. He added that high G-forces can cause blood to pool in the lower body, which could lead to a pilot blackout.
IAF confirms pilot's death

The IAF posted on the social media platform X: "An IAF Tejas aircraft crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot has lost his life in the accident. The IAF deeply regrets the loss of life and stands firmly with the bereaved family in this hour of grief."
The IAF said a court of inquiry was being set up to determine the cause of the accident, in which the pilot died from life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, local media in Dubai reported that the plane went down while performing an aerial display in front of a large crowd.
