However, with its release, Dhurandhar not only broke the record for the year's highest-grossing film, but also surpassed films two years older.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is currently making waves at the box office. Released in theaters on December 5th, the film has been ruling the roost both domestically and internationally. It's even surpassed this year's most anticipated film, Avatar 3.
Dhurandhar among top 3 highest grossers
Dhurandhar is not only doing well in India, but it's also dominating the worldwide box office. Having grossed ₹730 crore at the Indian box office, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has also made astonishing collections worldwide.
Dhurandhar breaks Pathan's record
Dhurandhar's worldwide collection has surpassed Pathan. Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathan (2023) grossed over ₹1,050 crore worldwide. It was ranked third in the top three highest-grossing films, a position now held by Dhurandhar. According to Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer Singh's film has grossed ₹1,080.29 crore worldwide in 24 days. The overseas market alone accounts for ₹217.6 crore.
Dhurandhar's impressive earnings in India
Dhurandhar 's domestic box office collection has so far earned ₹730.70 crore. On its 24th day, Sunday, the film's collection was ₹24.30 crore .

- Third week – 189 crores
Lifetime Collection – 730.70 crores
Dhurandhar, now in its fourth week, faces challenges from Jawaan and Dangal. Jawaan earned ₹1,148.32 crore worldwide, while Dangal earned ₹1,968.03 crore. Aditya Dhar's film may break Jawaan's record, but whether it can surpass Dangal remains to be seen.
