News Topical, Digital Desk : Diljit Dosanjh is in the news these days for his upcoming film Sardar Ji 3. Actually, the trailer of his film Sardar Ji 3 was released recently in which Pakistani actress Hania Aamir is seen. Many people got upset after seeing Hania in the film because after the Pahalgam attack, there was talk of a complete ban on Pakistani actors.
They steal music from Pakistan
Due to the criticism, the film will not be released in India. On one hand, while many people are criticizing Diljit saying that a singer should not do this, Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has supported Diljit. Diljit raised questions on the double standards of the public. Jasbir says that any conversation may be going on on the cross border, but it is wrong to target artists like this, while songs stolen from Pakistani music have been used in many Indian films.
Jasbir Jassi supports Diljit
In an interview to NDTV, Jasbir Diljit said, "I see that Diljit Dosanjh and his film are facing opposition on social media because there is a Pakistani artist in that film. I respect people's sentiments that we should love our country and we should stand with our country. But why these double standards?
If you don't want a Pakistani artist to sing, act or work in an Indian film, you want to ban them. But 80% of the songs in our industry have been stolen, be it the tunes or the lyrics or the entire songs. There are so many songs in our films that have been sung by artists from that country... So, why this double standard?"
Jasbir explained by giving example
The singer further said, "Either remove all those songs from YouTube, Spotify and other digital platforms. But it is not like you just take one artist and start protesting against him. It is like someone brings something to eat to your house and then you start calling him an enemy, but you keep eating the things or sweets brought by them. If you want to ban Pakistani artistes, then ban them completely. Remove all the content in the world." The film will release in theatres on June 27.
