New Delhi: Team India's experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is celebrating his 38th birthday today. The Indian team celebrated Ashwin's birthday in the dressing room. During this, fellow players put cake on the Indian spinner's face.

Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant and spinner Kuldeep Yadav have shared pictures of Ashwin's birthday on Instagram story. In these pictures, it can be seen that Ashwin has been given a chocolate cake.

Birthday celebrated with pomp 

Many cricketers have congratulated Ashwin on his birthday on social media. These include Suresh Raina, Badrinath, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, KL Rahul etc.

Ashwin has been playing international cricket for nearly 14 years. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in June 2010. Ashwin is also the second-highest wicket-taker for India in Tests.

In Test cricket, Ashwin has also scored 3309 runs with the help of 14 half-centuries and 5 centuries. Ashwin has taken 156 wickets in 114 innings of 116 ODIs. He has also scored 707 runs in ODIs. Ashwin has taken 72 wickets in 65 T20 Internationals.
