Weather condition in Haryana and Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, cold weather will persist in Haryana until January 26. Meanwhile, a dense fog warning has been issued for Amritsar, Patiala, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Bathinda, Ferozepur, and Hoshiarpur in Punjab between January 20 and 22. A rain alert has been issued from January 23.
Alert in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan as well
The weather in Jammu and Kashmir will remain normal until January 21, but moderate to heavy rain, snowfall, and strong winds of 40–50 km per hour are possible between January 22 and 25. Rain is also expected in some districts of Rajasthan on January 22 and 23, which could cause temperatures to drop in Sikar, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bharatpur, and Sriganganagar.
Cold will increase again in Madhya Pradesh
There will be relief from cold in Madhya Pradesh till January 21, but due to light rain on January 22 and 23, the temperature may drop in many cities including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain.
The situation in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh
The weather in Uttarakhand may deteriorate on January 20. The minimum temperature in many areas may reach 4 to 5 degrees Celsius. On January 23, a warning of light to moderate rain has been issued in Nainital, Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar. Apart from this, the weather may change in Himachal Pradesh today. The maximum temperature in Shimla may be 14 degrees and the minimum 2 degrees Celsius.
