News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday launched the "Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM" community radio mobile app from the Chief Minister's Camp Office in Dehradun. The app was described as an important initiative of Uttarakhand Open University, which will promote education, culture and social awareness. The Chief Minister termed it a milestone in the education and culture sector of the state.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami said that Uttarakhand Open University has played an important role in providing education to remote areas and promoting innovation through modern technology. He expressed hope that Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM app will empower the voice of society and culture to every corner of the country and the state. This app will help in reaching local issues, education and cultural heritage to the people through community radio.

Emphasis on education and skill development

The Chief Minister said that education is not just a means to obtain a degree, but it is a means to give direction to life and make people self-reliant. In this direction, the state government has decided to establish higher education and skill development centers in 13 districts. In these centers, the youth will not only get higher education, but will also be able to learn employment-oriented skills. Dhami stressed that with the help of universities and skill development centers, the youth of Uttarakhand will become job givers rather than job seekers. This will play an important role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's resolve of self-reliant India.

A digital education hub will be built in Dehradun

The Chief Minister announced that a major centre of Uttarakhand Open University will be set up in Dehradun. This centre will become a hub of education, training, research, innovation and digital education. This initiative will promote digital education in the state and connect the youth with modern technologies.

Contribution to Chief Minister's Relief Fund

During the program, Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University, Prof. Naveen Chandra Lohani gave information about the activities of the university. He handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh 49 thousand to Chief Minister Dhami for disaster relief in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. This contribution will be used for relief work in disaster-affected areas.
