Where will banks remain closed on 18th February?

If you're planning to visit the bank on February 18th, banks will be closed in only one state. Banks will be closed only in Sikkim, while banking operations will continue as normal throughout the rest of the country. Therefore, those living in Sikkim should avoid visiting the bank that day, or they may face difficulties.

The holiday on February 18th is due to the Losar festival, also known as the Tibetan New Year. Losar is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Ladakh, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. Therefore, banking services will not be available in Sikkim on this day.

Online services will continue

Banks in Sikkim will remain closed, but customers need not panic. Digital and online banking services will continue to operate as normal. You can easily make online payments, bill payments, mobile recharges, and money transfers through mobile banking, net banking, and UPI.

ATM services will also continue, so there will be no problem in withdrawing cash or checking balance.
