News Topical, Digital Desk : Human rights body has criticised Pakistan government over the increasing trend of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and termed it a crime against humanity.The Human Rights Department of Baloch National Movement said that seven more Balochs have been enforced disappearances by Pakistan Army from Balochistan.

 

Victims are often picked up without any legal process. Their relatives are not given any information. The organization said that Waqas Baloch was forcibly detained from Killi Sheikhan area of ​​Mastung on Sunday.

 

Pakistani army accused of making people disappear

On May 18, Naveed Baloch from Gwadar and Atta Ullah Baloch from Mastung were abducted. Earlier on May 16, Pakistani authorities called Shah Nawaz Baloch along with his father to the army camp. His father was sent back, but Nawaz was taken into custody. He has been missing since then. In another incident, security forces abducted Amin Ullah Baloch, a resident of Nasirabad, on May 17. 13-year-old Fayaz Ali, who went missing from Nasirabad on the same day, has not been found.

 

March held against enforced disappearances

Sindhian National Congress organised a march in Hyderabad to protest against land acquisition and enforced disappearances of people. Thousands of people gathered from across Sindh including Karachi, Larkana, Badin, Sukkur, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Dadu, Umarkot, Tharparkar etc. Farmers, lawyers, political activists, women and children marched in solidarity.
