State-owned engineering firm IRCON International Limited said it has received three major infrastructure contracts worth more than Rs 1,869 crore. These include two contracts from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Mumbai Metro project and one contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for a railway project in Madhya Pradesh.
Order received for project in MP
IRCON has announced that it has received a contract from RVNL for a railway infrastructure project in Madhya Pradesh worth Rs 755.78 crore (including GST). The contract has been awarded to IRCON–JPWIPL joint venture, in which IRCON has a 70 per cent stake. Thus, IRCON's share in the project is Rs 529.04 crore including GST. The
scope of the contract includes construction of roads, minor bridges, buildings, track installation (excluding supply of tracks, sleepers and thick web switches) as well as other civil and electric works for a new broad-gauge railway line between Pipaliya Nankar (excluding) and Budni (including) in the Indore–Budni section of West Central Railway. The contract will be completed in 36 months, including an additional six-month liability period.
Order also received from MMRDA Apart from this, MMRDA has awarded CA-239 contract to IRCON for Mumbai Metro Line-5, Package-2. This includes design, construction, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of 220 kV receiving substation, cabling work (220 kV, 33 kV and 25 kV), a complete 25 kV overhead catenary system including switching station, auxiliary power distribution system, SCADA system, electrical and mechanical work, and lifts and escalators. The total value of the contract is Rs 471.29 crore, which includes all taxes except GST and customs duty. The construction period is 108 weeks.
Another contract received from MMRDA In another contract from MMRDA, IRCON has been awarded CA-233 for Mumbai Metro Line-6, Package-2. This includes power supply and traction, E&M works, lifts and escalators. The value of the contract is Rs 642.44 crores. The project is to be completed in 104 weeks.
IRCON Share Price On Friday, IRCON share price fell 1.60% to close at Rs 186.74. It fell 2.08% in 5 days, 1.98% in 1 month, 14.70% in 6 months and the share has fallen 40.92% in 1 year.
