
News Topical, Digital Desk : The Anti Narcotics Cell of Mumbai Police raided several places in Malad, Jogeshwari, Dadar and Navi Mumbai and seized MD drugs worth Rs 10.07 crore. 5 accused have been arrested in this case. Police have registered cases under the NDPS Act and have started further investigation.
Anti Narcotics Cell recovered 4 kg MD drugs from Jogeshwari, Malad, Dadar and Navi Mumbai areas. The cost of the recovered drugs is Rs 10 crore 7 lakh in the international market. Police have arrested 5 drug suppliers.
The total value of drugs recovered in the operation is Rs 2.55 crore
The Ghatkopar unit of the Anti Narcotics Cell caught a suspect during patrolling in Jogeshwari. During the search, 504 grams of MD drugs were recovered. Later, during interrogation, his accomplice was also arrested, from whom 518 grams of MD drugs were recovered. The total value of the drugs recovered in this operation is Rs 2.55 crore.
Based on a tip-off, the Bandra unit of ANC raided the Pathanwadi area of Malad and arrested a man for selling MD drugs. A total of 766 grams of MD drugs worth Rs 1.91 crore was recovered from him.
2 suspects arrested
Based on a tip-off, the Worli unit of ANC raided a hideout in Dadar (West) and arrested a suspect involved in the sale of MD drugs. 690 grams of MD drugs worth Rs 1.72 crore were recovered from him.
The Bandra unit of ANC arrested a Nigerian from MIDC area of Navi Mumbai and recovered MD drugs worth Rs 2.56 crore from him. Further investigation in the case led to the seizure of MD drugs worth Rs 3.89 crore and arrest of two suspects.
