
News Topical, Digital Desk : Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) informed after the stock market closed on Friday that the company has received a big order from Adani Power Limited (APL). The company has been entrusted with the task of supplying equipment for 6 thermal units of 800 MW and supervising their installation and commissioning. The company said that this Letter of Award (LoA) has been issued by Adani Power Limited.
Under this contract, BHEL will have to supply steam turbine generator and its related ancillary equipment, as well as technical monitoring during installation and commissioning. This is a domestic order and its execution timeline will be decided as per the customer's project requirements.
Will help in meeting energy needs This project will help in meeting the energy needs of the country and will also provide an opportunity to further strengthen BHEL's engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Government engineering company BHEL has registered a profit of Rs 504.45 crore with a growth of 3 per cent in the quarter ended March 2025. In the same quarter of the previous financial year i.e. March 2024, the company had registered a net profit of Rs 489.62 crore.
Stock performance In the quarter ended March, the company's stock closed at Rs 263.45 with a decline of 0.38 per cent. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a decline of 11.28 percent.
