News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has come to light in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. A woman was attacked in broad daylight on Sunday. She was also accused of stealing a saree worth Rs 90,000. Police have arrested the shopkeeper in connection with the incident.

A video of the entire incident is circulating rapidly on social media. Police said a woman named Humpamma entered a shop on Avenue Road in Bengaluru and stole a bunch of sarees. However, she was unable to escape with them.

Shopkeeper attacked woman

An NDTV report stated that the shopkeeper brutally beat a woman on the charge of stealing a sari. The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. CCTV footage shows the woman standing inside the shop, attempting to take out the sari, and then taking the sari and leaving. At that moment, the shopkeeper grabbed her.

Police arrested all three

Enraged, the shopkeeper dragged the woman onto the street and slapped her several times before handing her over to the police. Bystanders filmed the entire incident. Police have registered two separate cases in this matter: one against the woman for theft and the other against the shopkeeper for assaulting the woman. Police have detained the shopkeeper, the woman, and the shopkeeper's assistant and sent them to jail.
