News Topical, Digital Desk : Batla House Demolition: Delhi High Court has issued notice to DDA on a petition filed against DDA's demolition notice in Batla House. Along with this, an interim stay has been imposed on the demolition action. The next hearing on this petition will be on July 10. The High Court has sought a demarcation report from DDA. Hearing on two other petitions in this case has been postponed till Monday.

A petitioner says that our property has no connection with Khasra number 279, yet DDA has considered it a part of Khasra number 279 and issued a notice.

DDA said that in the case of Khasra number 279, the Supreme Court had issued an order for demolition, while DDA had issued notice only on the construction made in Khasra number 279. No notice has been issued regarding the construction made on the remaining Khasra numbers. 

During the last hearing too, while giving relief on more than a dozen petitions of Batla House, the High Court had imposed an interim stay and issued notice to DDA.
