Azam Khan even lashed out at a journalist when asked about being harassed by the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. He sarcastically remarked, "The government was feeding me halwa and parathas every day." He also expressed his displeasure at the journalist for asking this question. When asked about being named a star campaigner for the Bihar elections, he gave a simple answer: "What can I do about it?"
