MG Windsor EV has been launched as a new electric vehicle in India by MG Motors. It has many great features, along with which it has been given a powerful battery and range.

Battery and motor

The company has provided a battery of 38 kWh capacity in MG Windsor EV. It takes 13.8 hours to charge from 0-100 percent. It can be charged from 0-80 percent in 55 minutes using a fast charger. Windsor EV has a permanent synonymous motor which gives 136 PS of power and 200 Newton meter of torque. Due to which it can be driven up to 331 kilometers.

What is the length and width

The length of MG Windsor EV is 4295 mm, width 2126 mm, height 1677 mm, wheelbase 2700 mm. Its ground clearance is 186 mm and it has a boot space of 604 liters.

How are the features

MG Windsor EV comes with LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 17 and 18-inch tyres, flush door handles, glass antenna, chrome finish window beltline, night black interior with golden touch highlights, dashboard with leather pack, driver armrest, door trim, steering wheel. Features like ambient lights, rear AC vents, PM 2.5 filter, 10.1 inch touch display, seven and 8.8 inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6 inch infotainment system, USB charger port, wireless Android Auto, Apple Car Play, option of 6 speaker and 9 speaker Infinity audio system, panoramic sunroof, aero lounge seats, ventilated seats, 6 way power adjustable driving seat, smart entry system, smart start system, cruise control, automatic temperature control, wireless smartphone charger are available.

Safety Features

The Windsor EV comes with safety features from MG like six airbags, hill assist, ESS, 360-degree camera, LED cornering lights, rear fog lamp, disc brakes on all four wheels, auto hold, ISOFIX child anchorage, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamp, follow me headlamp.

price

MG Windsor EV can be purchased with the option of Excite, Exclusive and Essence variants. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 9.99 lakh. Rs 9.99 lakh will be the price of the car only and a separate payment of Rs 3.50 per kilometer will have to be made for the battery. Due to this, customers will not have to worry about the battery getting damaged or its age. Apart from this, a buy-back facility has also been provided by MG after three years in which 60 percent of the price will be returned.

Booking starts from October 

Bookings for the Windsor EV will start from October 3 and its delivery will begin from October 12. The benefit of unlimited kilometers along with lifetime battery warranty has also been offered to the first buyers. Along with this, there will be no charge for public charging for the first year.

Who will compete with

MG Windsor EV is positioned between Comet and ZS EV. In terms of price, it will compete directly with Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 400.
