New Delhi: India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp offers Destini in the 125cc scooter segment. It has recently been launched in a new avatar. Many changes have been made in the scooter, after which we drove it. Can this scooter (Hero Destini 125 First Drive Review) prove to be a profitable deal for you or not? We are telling you in this news.

Changed Hero Destini 125

Hero MotoCorp has completely changed the Destini 125. Features have been added along with the design. After which it has become more attractive than before in the 125cc segment. The special thing is that after a long time of its launch, major changes have been made in its design. In this segment, it competes directly with Honda Acitva and Suzuki Access. Now it can challenge them in a better way.

How much did the design change?

Hero has given a very sharp look to the new version of Destini 125. Along with LED DRL, it also has LED headlight and LED tail light. Metal and plastic have been used in its body, which keeps the weight low and also provides safety. Copper chrome finish has been used in many parts of the scooter, due to which it looks very premium. The scooter has a backrest for the rear passenger, which provides comfort during long journeys and a newly designed grab rail has been provided for better grip.

Destiny 125 Features

Many features have been included in the new avatar of Hero Destini 125, which were not provided in it till now. Now this scooter has 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels with tyres in the front and rear wheels. Apart from this, disc brakes have also been added to the scooter. Digital instrument cluster, turn by turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, large seat, auto cancel winners, illuminated start switch, distance to empty, average fuel economy, voice assist, USB port for mobile charging, 19 liters underseat storage, two liters glove box in the front and bag hook have been provided.

Destini 125 Performance

Hero has used the same old engine in the scooter, but it has become better than before. It has a 124.6 cc single cylinder air cooled engine. Fuel injection technology has also been provided with it. The 124.6 cc engine gives it 9 BHP of power and 10.4 Newton meter of torque. The CVT technology has also been improved in it. Along with this, i3s technology has also been provided. We drove it up to a speed of 90 km per hour.

Handling and Braking

We drove it for a whole day on different roads and conditions and during this time we drove it for about 50 to 60 kms. While driving, we tried to turn it a lot and it easily goes at a speed higher than the top speed stated by the company. If brakes are applied at the top speed, then it is easily controlled but its handling can be improved a bit more.

Review

We drove Hero MotoCorp's new scooter Hero Destini 125 Facelift. The engine noise in the new version was less than before, which is a good thing. The scooter's handling and braking seemed good at low speeds as well as high speeds. However, we will be able to tell you more details only after driving it for a longer time. The scooter has a boot space of 19 liters capacity to keep luggage, but it would have been better if it was increased further. The two-liter space in the front makes it more practical. Charging the phone or other gadgets from the USB socket provided for charging the mobile during the journey will have the advantage that you will be able to stay connected through the phone easily even on a long journey. The instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity can also work as a plus point for this. With the design of the scooter and copper chrome finishing, it will be liked by people of all classes.
