The court has extended the interim stay granted to petitioner Anuj Kumar Chaudhary and then-police station inspector Anuj Kumar Tomar. It should be noted that on February 10, the Allahabad High Court stayed the January 9 order of the Sambhal CJM court.

The next hearing of the case is on April 21.

A reply was filed in court on behalf of complainant Yamin. The court directed the petitioners and the state government to file rejoinder affidavits. The next hearing in the case will be held on April 21st. Separate petitions have been filed by Anuj Chaudhary and the UP government.

The UP government and Anuj Chaudhary have challenged the January 9 order passed by the Sambhal court in the Allahabad High Court. The petition seeks to quash the Sambhal court's order registering the FIR. The case was heard by a single bench of Justice Samit Gopal.

This order against CO Anuj Chaudhary was issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Vibhanshu Sudhir on January 9, 2026, on a petition filed by the father of a man injured in the violence.
