
News Topical, Digital Desk : A major change has been made in the rules of the Supreme Court. This change has been made by the Supreme Court itself with the approval of the President. Let us tell you that after this amendment, the registry and office of the Supreme Court will remain open on Saturdays as well. Let us tell you that earlier the registry office of the Supreme Court used to remain closed on Saturdays, but now after this amendment, it will remain open every Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. A notice has also been issued by the Supreme Court for this.
Important amendment in the rules of the Supreme Court
The notice issued by SC has mentioned the important amendments made. According to the notice, under Article 145 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court has amended Rule 1, 2 and 3 of Order 2 of the Supreme Court Rules 2013 with the approval of the President. After this amendment, the registry and offices of the Supreme Court will now remain open every Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. This change will be seen from next month i.e. these rules will come into effect from July 14, 2025.
