Made his debut in the year 2010

Meanwhile, news is surfacing that another of his successful films is being re-released in theaters. This was also Ranveer Singh's debut film, starring Anushka Sharma. The film was released in 2010, and now, almost 15 years later, it's set to be re-released. The movie is titled Band Baaja Baaraat, and the announcement was made by cinema exhibition company PVR INOX.

PVR INOX announced

The film will re-release in theatres on January 16. The announcement comes amid the massive box office success of Ranveer's recent film 'Dhurandhar'. PVR Cinemas wrote on its official Instagram handle, “Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and a romantic comedy that never gets old. Band Baaja Baaraat is back on the big screen - enjoy the fun all over again! #BandBaajaBaaraat re-releasing on January 16 at PVR INOX!”

What is the story of Band Baaja Baaraat?

The film revolves around two ambitious young graduates from Delhi, Shruti (Anushka Sharma) and Bittu (Ranveer Singh), who start a wedding planning business called 'Shaadi Mubarak'. Embarking on a journey of friendship and trust in the tumultuous world of Indian weddings, they fall in love. Band Baaja Baaraat was directed by Maneesh Sharma in his directorial debut. Upon its release in 2010, the film was a box office success, making Ranveer an overnight star.
