Producer Bhushan Kumar has reacted to the cameos of actors Akshaye Khanna, Sunil Shetty, and Sudesh Berry in the end credits scene of "Border 2." He explained that Akshay's appearance wasn't added to capitalize on the success of “Dhurandhar.”
This scene was there before 'Dhurandhar'
The T-Series chairman said in an interview, "You can't make a film like this. It was already scripted. In fact, we shot his part after Dhurandhar was released. There was already a buzz around the film and Akshay, but we never thought of capitalizing on it. The script didn't call for it. It's not like we added him after Dhurandhar was released."
The cameo scene is emotional
He stressed that none of the cameos were included for business or marketing reasons. Bhushan further added, “The same can be said about Sunil Shetty. It's not like we decided to bring him in and later added him to the script. He was always going to be a part of Border 2, albeit in a cameo appearance. I would urge everyone not to forget to watch the end credits of the film. That cameo scene is very emotional.”
The viral scene reminds us of 'Border'
In the end credits scene of Border 2, Akshay, Sunil, and Sudesh's characters appear before Sunny Deol's Lieutenant Colonel Fateh Singh Kler, with the song "Son of the Soil" playing in the background. Sunny is seen paying tribute to their souls.
Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and others also star in Border 2. The film is based on India's three-front response to the 1971 war against Pakistan.
