The Air India chief said every aircraft is thoroughly checked before take-off as part of stringent security protocols. He stressed that the airline is strengthening internal processes to mitigate operational challenges.

He assured that strict and multi-layered security protocols are in place for the safety and convenience of passengers. He said in a message to customers, "We take this issue seriously and are working to minimize the inconvenience caused by such situations."
App launched for mental health of pilots
Air India has launched a mental health app for its pilots, crew members and their families. It will provide access to psychotherapy sessions.
According to sources, the app has journaling, mood and goal tracking tools along with AI chatbot support. In this, users will be able to book sessions directly by choosing an expert as per their convenience. This step has been taken after the Ahmedabad plane crash.
