News Topical, Digital Desk : A young man died on Sunday morning at the Omaxe Apartments complex in the Sushant Golf City police station area of ​​Lucknow. According to reports, he was seriously injured after falling from a height on a multi-story building.

The police immediately took the injured person to the PGI Trauma Center for treatment, where he died during treatment. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have initiated an investigation. The incident is being thoroughly investigated.

Regarding the young man's jump from the ninth floor of the Omaxe Building, police have clarified that the case does not appear to be a suicide. According to police, they received information at around 8:15 a.m. today (September 28, 2025) that a man had fallen from the Omaxe Waterscape Apartments. 

Upon receiving the information, a team from the Sushant Golf City police station arrived at the scene and, with the help of family members, the injured man was transported to the PGI Trauma Center. He died during treatment. A preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased man was Anurag Gupta (28 years old), who lived with his parents and brother in flat number 902, tower number 3, of Omaxe Apartments. 

What did the family members say?

After the young man's death, his family members revealed that Anurag had been suffering from mental illness for a long time and was undergoing treatment in Varanasi. This morning, he suddenly fell from the ninth floor of his apartment. He was then brought to Lucknow PGI for treatment, where he died during treatment.

Currently, the police are preparing a Panchnama (inquest report) of the body and sending it for post-mortem. The necessary action is being taken in the case and the police are thoroughly investigating the entire incident. The police have also issued a clarification on the incident.
