News Topical, Digital Desk : Late Sunday night, in Iskuri village of Khaga area on the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway, a loader carrying potatoes and heading to Prayagraj collided with a truck. The driver and the worker sitting with him were trapped in the cabin in the violent collision. Police pulled them out with the help of a crane. The medical team at the CHC declared both injured dead.
38-year-old Kamlesh, son of Shivshankar, a loader driver from Kamalpur village in the Thariyanv police station area, left for Prayagraj late Sunday night with potatoes loaded in his loader. 60-year-old Moolchand, a resident of Sudhav village in the Thariyanv police station area, was sitting with him to unload the sacks.
The driver and workers arrived near Iskuri village on the Kanpur-Prayagraj Highway around 11 p.m. when the loader collided with a truck ahead. Police believe the vehicle in front was moving slowly, while the loader was traveling at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour.
The loader's cabin was severely damaged in the violent collision. The driver and the worker were trapped inside the cabin. They were rescued using a crane. Police sent the bodies to the mortuary that night.
Kotwali in-charge Ramesh Patel said that on the basis of the complaint, a case will be registered against the unknown driver and further action will be taken.
