Kishun Nishad, a resident of Paina in the Barhaj police station area, currently lives in a hut in Kotwa South village with his disabled wife, Bachiya Devi. Sparks from stubble burning in the fields were blown by strong winds and reached a nearby residential hut, causing the fire to spread.
Suddenly, Bachiya Devi was caught in the flames. By the time the villagers tried to extinguish the fire, the hut was completely engulfed in flames. Bachiya Devi, who was physically disabled at the time of the accident, was unable to get out and suffered severe burns.
After a lot of effort, the villagers controlled the fire and pulled him out, but by then he had already died. Along with the hut, all the household items were also burnt to ashes. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.
