News Topical, Digital Desk : While the consecration ceremony for the main temple in the Shri Ram Temple complex took place on January 22, 2024, the construction of other temples and mounds within the complex is adding grandeur to the entire complex. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the flag at the main temple on November 25th. The flagpole at the main temple will be 22 feet tall and 11 feet high.

This saffron-colored flag will feature the Kovidar tree from the Ramayana period and the Sun God, the symbol of the Ikshvaku dynasty, along with Omkar. Furthermore, the flags of the other seven temples within the complex will also be saffron in color, with the Sun God depicted in the center with Omkar.

The complex was completed in five years.

The foundation stone for this grand and magnificent temple was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on August 5, 2020. During the foundation stone laying ceremony, nine stones, brought from around the world in 1989, were worshipped and placed in the temple's foundation stone.

It is worth noting that during the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement in 1989, stones from around the world were venerated and sent to Ayodhya for the temple's construction. The new temple complex was completed approximately five years after the foundation stone was laid. Approximately 520,000 cubic feet of pink sandstone, brought from Bansi Paharpur in Rajasthan, was used in the complex's temples. This adds to the temple's unique grandeur.

which is accomplished by remembering

In the main temple, where the sanctum sanctorum begins, there are very beautiful statues of Chandradhari Ganga and Yamuna carved on white marble rocks. In the big pavilion on the left side of the sanctum sanctorum, there is a statue of Ganesh ji on a shelf and above it the symbols of Riddhi-Siddhi and Shubh-Labh have been made. In a shelf, statues of Angad, Sugreev and Jamvant have been made above the statue of Hanuman ji in Pranam posture. Just above the main entrance of the sanctum sanctorum, the posture of Lord Vishnu, the protector of the entire universe, lying on Sheshnag has been carved on stone.

Goddess Lakshmi is seated at his feet. Statues of Lord Vishnu reclining on the Shesh Shaiya, along with Brahma and Shiva, have also been created. The uppermost floor of the sanctum sanctorum houses the Shri Ram Darbar, and the larger Jagmohan (the idol of the Lord) is located above it, which is currently vacant. The Shri Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust will decide the use of this space.

The large Yagna Mandap in the north-east

A large Yagna Mandap has been constructed northeast of the main temple, and the Sita Kup has been built nearby. Temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Surya, Lord Hanuman, Goddess Durga, and Goddess Annapurna have also been built within the complex. Those involved in the temple construction stated that the Annapurna temple has been built in or near the site of the former Sita Rasoi.

In addition to these temples, the Sheshavatar Temple, which houses the idol of Lakshmana in his Shesha form, has also been renovated. The sketches for these temples were prepared by Padmashree Vasudev Kamath, and the idols were created in Jaipur. From there, the idols were brought to Ayodhya and installed in the temples.

The unique beauty of the seven temples

Seven beautifully constructed temples have been built within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex. Among these seven temples is the temple of the first poet, Maharishi Valmiki. It was Maharishi Valmiki who composed the Ramayana, a beacon of life ideals in Indian culture. Along with him, Maharishi Vashishtha, the family guru of the Suryavansh, is said to have strengthened the kings of the Raghuvansh dynasty with his ascetic powers and expanded the fame of Sanatan.

He took young Shri Ram with him to educate him and during the training, he gave him various divine weapons received from Mahadev. Along with these, a temple of Goddess Ahalya has been built. According to Valmiki Ramayana, Ahalya, who was in stone form, was freed from the curse by the touch of Lord Shri Ram and returned to her female form. Maharishi Agastya is called the protector of the nation; his temple is also one of the seven temples in the Janmabhoomi complex. Temples of Mata Shabari and Nishadraj Guha have also been built.

Gate dedicated to the Vaishnavite tradition

The four gates of the Janmabhoomi complex are named after saints of the Vaishnav tradition: Jagadguru Sri Ramanandacharya, Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya, Jagadguru Aadi Shankaracharya, and Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya. The lower plinth of the main temple features paintings depicting various themes from the Valmiki Ramayana by Vasudev Kamath. The introductory text was prepared by Yatindra Mishra. A memorial pillar has also been erected within the temple complex, inscribed with the names of all those, known and unknown, who sacrificed their lives for the Shri Ram Temple.

The dunes got a grand look

Apart from the temples, many mounds in this complex have also been given a grand look. Shri Kuber mound is one of them. Among the major pilgrimages mentioned in the Parvati-Shankar dialogue, there are many places including the birthplace at a holy place like Shriramkot, in which Kuber mound is also mentioned. It is believed that Kuber ji, symbolizing wealth and prosperity, resides here. It is also mentioned in Rudramayal that Sushen is established in the east of Kuber mound and Gavaksh in the north. In 1902, the inscription of Edward Tirtha Vivechani Sabha has been installed here.

Angad Tila has also been given a new look. A large statue of Jatayu has also been installed in the temple complex. Squirrels are often mentioned in folklore in the Ramayana. Squirrels also contributed to the construction of the Ram Setu. This folk belief has also been established within the complex. The site is named "Holy Squirrel." This message conveys that even tiny creatures can be part of a major mission through their efforts. A grand statue of Tulsidas has been installed right next to the Pilgrim Assistance Center.
