Healthy Heart Tips: It  is very important to take care of the heart with the changing lifestyle. Many changes are taking place in our lifestyle, which includes working for long hours, less physical activity, unhealthy diet etc. Due to this, the risk of heart diseases is increasing rapidly.

To make people aware about this, World Heart Day is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of September . This year this day is being celebrated on 29 September (World Heart Disease 2024). On this occasion, we are going to tell you about some such tips (Tips To Keep Heart Healthy), which can help in keeping the heart healthy. Let's know.

Healthy Diet

  • Fruits and vegetables- Include a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet. They contain vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants that are good for heart health.
  • Grains- Include whole grains like brown rice, oats and quinoa in your diet. They are rich in fibre and help in lowering cholesterol levels.
  • Milk and dairy products- Consume low-fat milk, yogurt and cheese. These are rich in calcium which is essential for heart health.
  • Limit fats and oils- Reduce your intake of food items containing saturated and trans fats. These include red meat, sausages, butter and hydrogenated oils.
  • Salt – Limit your salt intake as excess salt can increase blood pressure.

 

Regular Exercise

  • Aerobic exercise – Do at least 30 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise a week, such as walking, running, swimming or cycling.
  • Strength training- Do strength training at least twice a week. This will help strengthen your muscles and burn calories.
  • Flexibility exercises- Do flexibility exercises like yoga, tai chi or stretching. This will help keep your muscles flexible and prevent injuries.
