UP By Polls 2024: BJP and Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance are fully prepared for the by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the murder of NSP (Ajit faction) leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai can also become an issue in this by-election. Because UP has about 19% Muslim population and there is a BJP coalition government in Maharashtra. Because of this, SP and Congress can make law and order an issue, the sympathy arising from the murder can benefit the opposition. It is clear from this that BJP may suffer losses in Muslim-dominated seats.

The UP by-election is also a litmus test for CM Yogi Adityanath , because there are 5 seats on which BJP seems to be weakening. The first name in this is Karhal seat which is the traditional seat of SP and this seat has more than 1.25 lakh Yadav voters. Along with this, Kundarki seat has 60% and Sisamau seat has more than 45% Muslim voters. There are about 2 lakh Dalits and Yadavs on Milkipur seat, while there are about 1.5 lakh Dalits and Yadavs on Phulpur seat.

Akhilesh's bicycle on the PDA path 

Samajwadi Party has announced the names of its 6 candidates for the by-elections, which clearly reflects PDA. Out of the 6 candidates announced by Akhilesh Yadav, 2 are minority, 3 backward and 1 Dalit candidate.

SP gave him ticket

SP has given ticket to Shobhavati Verma from Katehari seat who is the wife of SP MP Lalji Verma. On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav's nephew Tej Pratap Yadav and Naseem Solanki, wife of former MLA Irfan Solanki from Sisamau have been made candidates for Karhal seat. SP MP Awadhesh Prasad's son Ajit Prasad has got ticket for Milkipur seat. SP leader Shasher Singh's daughter Dr. Jyoti Bind from Manjhwa and former MLA Murtaza Siddiqui from Phulpur have been made candidates.

Let us tell you that by-elections are to be held on a total of 10 seats in UP, in which BJP will field its candidates on 9 seats. For this, three names are being discussed from each seat and BJP's ally party RLD can field a candidate on Meerapur seat. At the same time, BJP's other ally party Nishad Party wants Katehari and Manjhwa seats.
