UP News: The administration opened an old Shiva temple on Saturday which was closed for many years in Khaggu Sarai, adjacent to Mohalla Deepa Sarai in Nakhasa police station area of ​​Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Idols of God are installed in this temple. Apart from this, an ancient well has also been found here. When the doors of the temple were opened in the presence of administrative officials, it was seen that dust had accumulated inside. In such a situation, the policemen themselves cleaned the Shivling and the idols of other gods and goddesses with their hands. A video of the temple being opened has also surfaced.

The Public Relations Officer of the Superintendent of Police said that this temple was discovered during the electricity and encroachment raid on Saturday morning. This temple was closed for a long time. It has been opened. He said that on opening the door of the temple, a statue of Hanuman Ji and a Shivling were also found inside.

Vishnu Sharan Rastogi, patron of Nagar Hindu Sabha, said that we used to live in Khaggu Sarai area. We have a house nearby (in Khaggu Sarai area). After 1978, we sold the house and vacated the place. This is a temple of Lord Shiva. We left this area and we could not take care of this temple. No priest lives at this place.

The priest did not dare to stay

He told that 15-20 families left this area. We had closed the temple because the priest could not live here. The priest did not dare to stay here. Now, after years, the temple has been opened on Saturday. Vishnu Saran told that earlier bhajan-kirtan used to happen in this temple. Additional Superintendent of Police Shirish Chandra told that there is a well outside the temple premises. That well was found after digging. Many other things are also being seen. 

 Hanuman ji's idol and Shivling found inside the temple

Sambhal's SDM Vandana Mishra said that we were running a campaign against electricity theft and were checking from place to place, so we reached this place too. A temple was seen here. After this, I took permission from the District Magistrate to open this temple and now all of us have come here to inspect this temple. Hanuman ji's idol and Shivling were found inside the temple, about which the local people told that this temple has been built since 1978.
