UP Politics: After the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the defeat of the Indian National Congress in the assembly elections of Haryana, Maharashtra and other by-elections is now affecting its place in the INDIA Alliance. Soon after the results of the by-elections and assembly elections, Kalyan Banerjee, MP of the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, had said that TMC chief and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should be the leader of the India Alliance. 

At that time, when journalists questioned Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav in this regard, he said that he would give suggestions in this regard in the India Alliance meeting.

Now TMC MP Kirti Azad has again reiterated that Mamata Banerjee should be the leader or convener of India Alliance. Let us tell you that before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, India Alliance (Bharatiya National Developing Inclusive Alliance) was formed under the leadership of Janata Dal United leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Later, Nitish Kumar left the India Alliance and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance i.e. NDA.

What did Akhilesh Yadav's uncle say? In the results of
the Lok Sabha elections , the Indian National Congress, Samajwadi Party and TMC got the maximum number of seats in the India Alliance respectively. Now after the defeat of Congress in the results of the assembly elections in the last few months, there is talk of a new leader and coordinator.

After Kirti Azad's statement, Samajwadi Party leader Professor Ramgopal Yadav also gave air to this matter and said that there are many leaders in the opposition alliance who can take up the responsibility of the post of coordinator of India Alliance. Similar discussions have also started among some other political parties of India Alliance.
